Amends athletic trainer licensing requirements to mandate applicants meet all certification standards established by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification, incorporated.

Changes examination requirement from passing the board-approved exam to having "previously passed" the Board of Certification examination or an approved equivalent.

Requires athletic trainers returning to practice after one year or more absence to have active status from the Board of Certification rather than showing continued education credits.

Updates terminology in licensing exemptions section to refer to "massage therapists" instead of "masseurs or masseuses."

Repeals the grandfathering provision in section 43-39-07 and clarifies that practicing as an athletic trainer without a license constitutes a Class B misdemeanor.
