Amends subsection 1 of section 21-06-07 of the North Dakota Century Code to modify authorized investment options for counties, cities, school districts, park districts, and townships.

Allows public entities to invest general fund and special or temporary fund balances in U.S. Treasury bonds, bills, notes, and securities issued or guaranteed by federal agencies and organizations created by Congress.

Permits investments in repurchase agreements written by financial institutions when underlying securities are of federally-approved types.

Authorizes certificates of deposit fully insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation or the state.

Adds option for certificates of deposit, savings deposits, or other deposits placed through public depositories with federal deposit insurance corporation coverage as determined by the state commissioner of financial institutions.
