Appropriates $450,000 from the general fund to the superintendent of public instruction for reimbursing school districts and nonpublic schools for CPR training costs during the biennium of July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2015.

Requires eligible schools to dedicate one high school class period in a required course to CPR instruction and provide matching funds of at least 25% during year one and 50% during year two of the biennium.

Reimbursable expenses include instructor costs, training staff, instructional materials, and training manikins; reimbursement capped at $22.50 per student in year one and $15 per student in year two based on hours and certification level.

Training must conform to American Heart Association guidelines, be conducted by approved organizations, and include chest compression practice and automated external defibrillator instruction.

Permits schools to combine resources with other districts or direct regional education associations to provide the training, with reimbursements issued in the order requests are received.
