Insurers cannot provide lower cost-sharing (copayments, deductibles, coinsurance) for patient-administered cancer treatment medications than for medications injected or infused by healthcare providers, regardless of drug formulation or benefit category.

Insurers are prohibited from increasing cost-sharing amounts for provider-administered cancer medications or reclassifying benefits to circumvent compliance with the equal cost-sharing requirement.

Applies to all insurance policies including group, individual, blanket, franchise, and association coverage offered by insurance companies, nonprofit health service corporations, and health maintenance organizations.

Requires the public employees retirement system board to provide medical benefits coverage for cancer treatment medications following the same equal cost-sharing requirements for both patient-administered and provider-administered formulations.

Exempts the law from cost-benefit analysis requirements and allows it to apply broadly beyond public employee health insurance programs without expiration.
