Appropriates $4,800 from the general fund to the state board of higher education for commendatory grants during the biennium July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017.

State board shall select recipients each June based on innovative use of technology in instruction delivery, recognizing full-time faculty at state-controlled higher education institutions.

Distributes four $500 grants annually: one each to University of North Dakota, North Dakota State University, and one to a faculty member at Dickinson State, Mayville State, Minot State, or Valley City State University.

One additional $500 grant annually to faculty at Bismarck State College, Dakota College at Bottineau, Lake Region State College, North Dakota State College of Science, or Williston State College.

Allows up to $400 annually for plaques commemorating recipients and permits increasing grant numbers if matching funds become available.
