Reduces the minimum notice period for contract renewal acceptance from thirty to fourteen calendar days between board notification and the acceptance/rejection deadline.

Changes the contract acceptance/rejection deadline from June first to May fifteenth for teachers, principals, and assistant or associate superintendents.

Requires good-faith negotiations to begin no later than the thirtieth day after a representative organization is recognized by the school district board.

Allows school district boards to suspend contract renewal notice requirements when negotiations are ongoing, and permits boards to provide renewal notifications if negotiations do not begin as required.

Authorizes school district boards to hold executive sessions to discuss negotiating strategies and provide negotiating instructions related to anticipated or pending litigation, adversarial administrative proceedings, or contracts.
