Public entities may charge up to $0.25 per impression for paper copies of public records, with reasonable fees for non-paper copies based on actual costs including labor, materials, and equipment.

Public entities may charge up to $25 per hour (excluding the first hour) for locating records and for excising confidential material, and may treat five or more requests from the same requester within seven days as a single request.

Public entities may withhold records until a requester provides payment for any outstanding balance from prior requests.

Telephone numbers and home addresses of juvenile court directors, probation officers, law enforcement employees, and corrections employees remain confidential, with additional protections preventing disclosure of personnel records to inmates without authorization.

Law enforcement records containing identifying information about domestic violence victims, sex offense victims, child sexual performance victims, or human trafficking victims are exempt from public disclosure and may be redacted.
