Secretary of state must complete review of recall petition forms within 5-7 business days, excluding Saturdays.

Circulators have one year to gather signatures for recall petitions under the North Dakota Constitution, and ninety days for recall petitions under section 44-08-21.

Special recall elections must be held no sooner than 95 days and no later than 105 days after the filing officer certifies the petition valid and sufficient.

Recall election notice must be posted in the official newspaper 30 days before the candidate filing deadline, which occurs 64 days before the election.

Repeals sections 16.1-11-05 and 16.1-13-03 relating to notices by the secretary of state.
