Amends North Dakota Century Code section 14-05-24.1 to require spousal support be limited to a specific period of time rather than indefinite duration.

Terminates spousal support automatically upon remarriage of the receiving spouse, unless otherwise agreed in writing, with the receiving spouse required to notify the payor spouse immediately.

Terminates spousal support upon court order when the receiving spouse has cohabited with another individual in a marriage-like relationship for one year or more, based on preponderance of evidence.

Exempts rehabilitative spousal support from the remarriage and cohabitation termination requirements.

Directs legislative management to study types of spousal support awarded by district courts and develop statutory guidance for spousal support awards during the 2015-16 interim, reporting findings to the 65th legislative assembly.
