Amends the definition of podiatric medicine in North Dakota Century Code section 43-05-01 to include medical and surgical treatment of the foot, ankle, and related soft tissue structures below the tibial tuberosity, excluding extra articular osseous injuries above the distal metaphyseal scar.

Authorizes podiatrists to perform amputation of toes, parts of the foot, or the entire foot when medically necessary.

Permits podiatrists to function as assistant surgeons in nonpodiatric procedures.

Allows podiatric medical residents working under temporary permits to fully participate in rotations and perform treatments and diagnoses beyond the foot and ankle under appropriate supervision within approved residency programs.
