Amends North Dakota Century Code section 48-01.2-06 to require multiple prime bids for general, electrical, and mechanical portions of public improvement projects exceeding the threshold established under section 48-01.2-02.1.

Allows contracts estimated at less than twenty-five percent of the threshold to be included in one of the other prime contracts instead of requiring separate bids.

Permits governing bodies to accept a single prime bid for the complete project only if that bid is lower than the combined total of the lowest responsible multiple bids.

Authorizes governing bodies to negotiate contract amendments up to $150,000 with the largest-portion contractor when a bid for general, electrical, or mechanical work is not received, without requiring the project to be rebid.
