The attorney general may establish a human trafficking commission composed of designees from state, local, and tribal agencies, nongovernmental organizations working with victims, and other organizations and individuals including victims with relevant expertise.

The attorney general may establish the commission by appointing an existing statewide coalition.

The commission shall develop a coordinated and comprehensive plan to provide victims with services and collect and evaluate data on human trafficking in the state with annual reporting to the attorney general, governor, and legislature.

The commission shall promote public awareness about human trafficking, victim remedies and services, and trafficking prevention, including creating a public-awareness sign containing the national human trafficking resource center hotline and state or local hotlines.

The commission shall coordinate training on human trafficking prevention and victim services for state and local employees, and coordinate training on human trafficking investigation and prosecution with the state's attorney's association, peace officers standards and training board, and law enforcement agencies.
