Amends North Dakota Century Code section 54-10-14 to allow the state auditor to require annual reports instead of biennial audits from certain small political subdivisions.

Applies to school districts with fewer than 100 enrolled students, cities with populations under 500, and other political subdivisions with less than $300,000 in annual receipts (excluding federal pass-through funds).

Annual reports must contain financial information as required by the state auditor, who may conduct additional examinations or audits if deemed necessary.

State auditor may charge a fee not exceeding $80 per hour for reviewing annual reports and may charge political subdivisions for costs of additional examinations or audits if reports are not filed.

Bill passed the Senate 45-0 and the House 87-0 during the 2015 legislative session.
