Hospitals may not require sexual assault victims to submit to forensic examination or report the assault to law enforcement.

Hospitals without trained staff must coordinate with community-based or hospital-based sexual assault nurse examiner programs to ensure victims receive forensic examinations and sexually transmitted infection treatment if desired.

The Board of University and School Lands shall allocate $250,000 in oil and gas impact grant funds to the domestic violence and rape crisis program for sexual assault examiner programs for the biennium July 1, 2015 through June 30, 2017.

Grant recipient organizations must report to the attorney general and appropriations committees on fund usage and program outcomes, with grant funds prohibited from being used for nurse salaries.

The attorney general shall report to the sixty-fifth legislative assembly on the number of nurses trained, locations of services, and collaborative efforts involving hospitals, law enforcement, state's attorneys, and sexual assault advocates.
