Director of the department of corrections and rehabilitation must provide weekly Monday morning reports to the secretary of state listing incarcerated felons convicted of felonies, including name, address, date of birth, date of sentence, effective date of sentence, and county of conviction.

Secretary of state shall designate individuals on the report with an ineligible voter status in the central voter file.

Director of corrections and rehabilitation must provide weekly Monday morning reports to the secretary of state of individuals previously incarcerated for felonies whose civil rights have been restored under chapter 12.1-33.

Secretary of state shall change the ineligible voter status in the central voter file to appropriate status for individuals whose civil rights have been restored.

Individuals convicted of and incarcerated for felonies whose civil rights have been restored under chapter 12.1-33 must be allowed to vote if they meet elector qualifications under section 16.1-01-04, with county auditors updating their voter file status accordingly.
