Amends North Dakota Century Code section 32-03.1-02.3 to modify requirements for persons who acquire an automated external defibrillator, excluding medical services facilities and prehospital emergency medical services providers.

Requires individuals expected to use an automated external defibrillator to receive training in the most recent nationally recognized course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator use from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent organization.

Mandates maintenance and testing of automated external defibrillators according to manufacturer guidelines and establishment of a use protocol requiring contact with a health care provider or emergency medical services provider as soon as possible after use.

Provides civil liability immunity for persons who in good faith and without compensation provide emergency care or treatment using an automated external defibrillator, unless injury results from gross negligence or willful or wanton misconduct.

Extends immunity protections to licensed physicians providing recommendations, persons providing training, and persons responsible for the defibrillator site location.
