Direct the Legislative Management to study the use of seclusion and restraint procedures in schools, which are safety procedures used to isolate students or hold them in response to dangerous behavior

North Dakota currently does not track the frequency of seclusion and restraint use in schools and is one of eighteen states without laws directly addressing these procedures

Research indicates seclusion and restraint procedures are prone to misapplication and abuse, potentially placing students in greater danger than the initial behavior

Require the Legislative Management to report findings and recommendations, together with any necessary legislation to implement the recommendations, to the Sixty-fifth Legislative Assembly
