Multiple school districts within a county with fewer than 1,000 combined students may jointly employ a superintendent.

The superintendent of public instruction may not impose penalties, sanctions, or additional accreditation requirements on school districts that jointly employ a superintendent.

The superintendent of public instruction may not require school districts to employ a full-time superintendent as a condition for accreditation.

School districts with fewer than 100 high school students that jointly employ a superintendent may limit an employee's principal duties to no more than 33 percent of their time through the accreditation process.
