Amends the definition of "basic care facility" in North Dakota Century Code section 23-09.3-01 to clarify facilities that provide room and board to five or more unrelated individuals requiring health, social, or personal care services but not regular twenty-four-hour medical or nursing services.

Defines basic care facilities as residences not licensed under chapter 23-16 that meet at least one of three criteria: making response staff available twenty-four hours daily, being marketed as an Alzheimer's or dementia care facility, or being attached to a nursing home or assisted living facility with available staff.
