Legislative management shall study the use of open educational resources in kindergarten through grade twelve during the 2017-18 interim period.

Study must analyze potential cost savings for school districts and the department of public instruction from adopting open educational resources.

Study must examine availability of private sector partnerships to aid in development, adoption, implementation, and funding of open educational resources.

Study must identify steps necessary to establish North Dakota as a #GoOpen state with the United States department of education.

Legislative management shall report findings, recommendations, and any required legislation to the sixty-sixth legislative assembly.
