Out-of-state contributions to statewide initiative, referendum, or ballot measure committees are limited to $100 unless accompanied by a certified statement listing each in-state contributor who gave more than $100, including their name, address, occupation, employer, and principal place of business.

The certified statement must indicate whether any person contributed more than $100 to the out-of-state contribution and must be filed with the contribution statement required under campaign finance law.

All campaign finance statements filed with the secretary of state must be filed electronically in the format established by the secretary of state and within prescribed timeframes.

The secretary of state may request written clarification and amended statements from candidates, political parties, or political committees when discrepancies, errors, or omissions are discovered, allowing up to 10 days for filing the amended statement.

Campaign finance statements must be preserved by the secretary of state for 10 years from the filing deadline and made available for public inspection on the internet.
