Amends North Dakota Century Code section 14-07.1-02 to clarify provisions for firearm and dangerous weapon surrender in domestic violence protection orders.

Courts may order respondents to surrender firearms or dangerous weapons if the court has probable cause to believe the respondent is likely to use, display, or threaten to use them in further acts of violence.

Surrendered firearms or weapons must be turned over to the county sheriff, sheriff's designee, city police chief, or police chief's designee in the manner and at the time and place determined by that law enforcement officer.

Law enforcement may arrest the respondent and take possession of any firearm or dangerous weapon if the respondent fails to surrender as ordered, pursuant to section 14-07.1-11.
