The North Dakota board of physical therapy may require physical therapist and physical therapist assistant applicants, and licensees under investigation, to submit to statewide and nationwide criminal history record checks.

Criminal history record checks are conducted according to procedures specified in section 12-60-24 of the North Dakota Century Code.

Criminal history record checks are classified as exempt records and are not subject to public disclosure.

All costs associated with criminal history record checks are the responsibility of the applicant or licensee being checked.
