Amends the definition of "emergency medical services professional" to mean an individual licensed by the department as an emergency medical technician-basic, emergency medical technician-intermediate, or emergency medical technician-paramedic.

Changes supervision requirements for hospital-employed emergency medical services professionals from supervision by a hospital's nurse executive to supervision by a hospital-designated physician, physician assistant, advanced practice registered nurse, or registered nurse.

Allows emergency medical technicians-intermediate and paramedics employed by hospitals to provide patient care within a scope of practice established by the department.
