An individual may not cause a substantial interruption or impairment of a critical infrastructure facility or public service by tampering with, damaging, or destroying equipment; damaging or impeding operations; or interfering with construction or repair of such facilities.

Violations are classified as class C felony if conducted intentionally, class A misdemeanor if conducted knowingly or recklessly, and class B misdemeanor otherwise.

Employees and contractors acting within the scope of their employment are exempt from the law's prohibitions.

Organizations convicted of conspiracy with individuals who violated this section must be assessed fines equivalent to penalties for each convicted individual, not to exceed $100,000.

The law does not prohibit lawful assembly, peaceful petition for redress of grievances, or labor disputes between employers and employees.

Critical infrastructure facilities are broadly defined to include refineries, power generating facilities, water treatment plants, gas facilities, telecommunications infrastructure, transportation facilities, pipelines, dams, and designated construction sites for such facilities.
