Amends subsection 1 of section 27-20-06 of the North Dakota Century Code to expand the powers and duties of juvenile court directors.

Adds new duty allowing directors to receive and examine requests for review of a child's placement at a qualified residential treatment program under the Family First Prevention Services Act (42 U.S.C. 675a).

Maintains existing director responsibilities including investigations, supervision of probation, temporary custody orders, administering oaths, and issuing transport orders for children.

Passed by the Senate with a vote of 47-0 and by the House with a vote of 89-2 during the 2019 regular session.
