Amends subsection 2 of section 27-20-24 of the North Dakota Century Code relating to juvenile court proceedings.

Changes the reference for hearing time limits from "subsection 1 of section 27-20-22" to "supreme court rule" to determine when a petition must be dismissed.

Requires dismissal of a juvenile court petition if a hearing has not been held within the required time limit or any approved extension.

Requested by the North Dakota Supreme Court.

Passed the Senate 47-0 and the House 89-1 during the 2019 regular session.
