Amends North Dakota Century Code section 15.1-07-33 to require each school district to implement the state student information system administered by the Information Technology Department as its principal student information system.

Removes the specific mandate for PowerSchool and replaces it with a generic state student information system requirement, allowing for future flexibility in system selection.

Transfers exemption authority from the superintendent of public instruction to the statewide longitudinal data system committee.

Permits school districts to seek exemption if they have acquired a student information system compatible with the statewide longitudinal data system or, for Indian education bureau compliance, one determined comparable by the superintendent.

Requires all school districts to use state course codes assigned by the Department of Public Instruction to identify local classes in the state student information system.
