Amends North Dakota Century Code section 40-18-06.2 to modify the termination date for municipal judges when their office is abolished.

Allows cities with populations under 5,000 to transfer all municipal court cases to district court and abolish the municipal judge office by resolution, with agreement from the county governing body, judicial district presiding judge, and state court administrator.

Changes the municipal judge's term end date to the last day of the month in which all municipal cases are transferred to district court or the expiration of the judge's term, whichever occurs first.

Designates the act as an emergency measure.
