• Defines "gender identity" as actual or perceived gender-related identity, appearance, mannerisms, or characteristics regardless of designated gender at birth.

• Applies protections to employment decisions (hiring, firing, promotion, compensation), labor unions, employment agencies, housing transactions, and real estate services.

• Includes religious organization exemptions allowing faith-based employers to establish qualifications for religious positions and limiting nonreligious employment to members of the same religion.
