Voids and declares unenforceable any indemnity agreement in oil and gas well contracts that attempts to relieve a party from liability for death, bodily injury, or property damage caused by their own negligence.

Prohibits indemnity clauses from protecting a party from liability for negligence of their agents, employees, or directly responsible independent contractors.

Prohibits indemnity clauses from protecting a party from liability for accidents occurring in operations they directed, supervised, or specified the methods and means for.

Applies to all written or oral agreements concerning drilling, deepening, reworking, repairing, testing, plugging, and related oil and gas well operations and equipment rental.

Preserves the validity of insurance contracts, workforce safety and insurance law benefits, and surface estate owners' right to secure indemnity from operators and contractors on their land.
