Department of Human Services must implement a childhood trauma and violence pilot program through the northeast human service center during the 2019-21 biennium.

Department may contract with nonprofit organizations that provide support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the northeast human service center area.

Pilot program may build upon existing programs related to childhood trauma and violence.

Program must provide evidence-based curriculum on abusive and healthy relationships to students.

Program must address safety and mental health concerns for children and families experiencing trauma and violence.
