Amends North Dakota Century Code section 12-63-02.2 to allow tribal police officers of federally recognized Indian tribes to obtain peace officer licenses or part-time peace officer licenses if they meet chapter requirements and board-adopted rules.

Board may waive the required training program for tribal police officer licensure.

Tribal police officers may exercise peace officer powers within reservation exterior boundaries or off the reservation if they have been appointed as special deputies, employed by the state or political subdivision, or operate under an agreement between the state/political subdivision and the tribe.

Tribal police officers are not required to be licensed to provide emergency law enforcement services or mutual aid to state or political subdivision law enforcement officers within or outside reservation boundaries.

The state or political subdivision is not liable for acts or omissions of tribal police officers exercising authorized peace officer powers under an agreement.
