Municipal judges may file authenticated copies of judgments imposing fines or costs with any district court clerk in the state, which shall be treated as civil judgments.

Municipal court must file an affidavit with the defendant's name and last known mailing address when filing a judgment, and mail notice of filing to the defendant at least 10 days before any enforcement action.

Enforcement of a municipal court judgment is stayed if the defendant shows the district court that an appeal is pending or will be taken, until the appeal concludes or the appeal deadline expires.

Municipal judges shall order a $10 filing fee to be paid to the district court clerk upon judgment filing.

Municipal court judgments filed with the district court are enforceable only in the same manner as judgments for money in civil actions.
