Legislative management shall conduct a study during the 2021-22 interim on the feasibility and desirability of creating a teacher reimbursement program.

Study must review out-of-pocket expenses incurred by kindergarten through grade twelve teachers on classroom school supplies, including total annual amounts spent statewide.

Study must examine school districts in North Dakota that have already implemented teacher reimbursement programs.

Study must evaluate whether a teacher reimbursement program would reduce the financial burden on teachers and calculate the total potential annual cost to the state.

Legislative management must report findings, recommendations, and any required legislation to the 68th legislative assembly.
