Amends section 47-16-20 of the North Dakota Century Code to establish payment schedules for different types of rent: agricultural and wild land rent payable yearly at year-end, lodging rent payable monthly at month-end, and other rents payable quarterly at quarter-end.

Adds new subsection 2 requiring that insufficient rental payments for lodgings must first be applied to the outstanding rental amount due before any late fees or other charges, unless the lessee specifies otherwise at the time of payment.

Applies the payment priority rule specifically to lodging rental agreements where a lessee's payment does not cover both the base rent and accumulated fees or charges.
