Prohibits unlicensed persons from advertising to contract for electrical services unless they are licensed as a class B electrician, master electrician, or power limited electrician, or unless they contract with a licensed electrical contractor.

Requires licensees advertising electrical services in North Dakota to include their name and license number in advertisements and on business cards.

Mandates that licensees using motor vehicles for electrical work display their name or company name and license number on both sides of the vehicle with lettering at least two inches in height in contrasting color.

Establishes penalties for first conviction as a class B misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $100 and no imprisonment.

Escalates penalties for second and subsequent convictions to class A misdemeanor with maximum fine of $1,000 for a second conviction, and for third or subsequent convictions allows a fine up to $1,000, imprisonment up to 30 days, or both.
