Legislative management shall conduct a study during the 2021-22 interim on recruitment, retention, turnover, and training of law enforcement and correctional officers employed by state agencies and political subdivisions.

Study shall review current and historical rates of retention and turnover, training and professional development offered and required, and compensation and benefits of officers in North Dakota compared to comparable positions in other regional states.

Legislative management shall report findings, recommendations, and any required legislation to the sixty-eighth legislative assembly.
