Removes the requirement to request that a trespasser desist before using force to protect premises or property, if a request would be useless, dangerous, or allow substantial damage before the request could be made.

Eliminates the duty to retreat before using deadly force for individuals not engaged in unlawful activity, not the original aggressor, and lawfully present in their dwelling, place of work, motor vehicle, or occupied motor home or travel trailer.

Adds motor vehicle to the list of properties where individuals may use deadly force to prevent arson, burglary, robbery, or felonies involving violence when other force would expose individuals to substantial danger of serious bodily injury.

Grants civil liability immunity to individuals using justifiable force under the chapter, except against law enforcement officers acting in official capacity with proper identification.

Permits individuals to brandish dangerous weapons on property they own or lease, subject to exceptions for certain weapons offenses and mental health-related restrictions.
