Probationers and parolees requesting interstate transfer under the adult offender supervision compact must pay a $150 application fee to the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, which may be waived at the department's discretion.

Counties having jurisdiction over probationers must pay a $150 transfer fee upon approval of the transfer application; the department must pay a $150 transfer fee for parolees, unless the probationer and parolee violation transportation fund balance exceeds $75,000 on June 30th of the preceding fiscal year, in which case all fees are waived.

Probationers and parolees requesting a travel permit to travel to another state must pay a $10 travel permit fee, which may be waived for hardship cases involving illness or death in the family.

All fees collected are transferred to the state treasury for deposit in the probationer and parolee violation transportation fund, to be used for defraying costs of returning violators to the state.

The Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation may contract with private entities to assist in administering the fund and shall adopt rules for implementation.
