Authorizes the commission on legal counsel for indigents to require volunteers and final applicants for employment to submit to statewide and nationwide criminal history record checks.

Nationwide criminal history record checks must be conducted in the manner provided in section 12-60-24 of the North Dakota Century Code.

Adds criminal history record check authority to the commission's existing statutory powers under chapter 54-61.
