Adds school counselors to the list of behavioral health professionals eligible for the North Dakota student loan repayment program administered by the health council.

School counselors are eligible for up to $4,000 per year in loan repayment assistance, not to exceed $20,000 over five years, with matching funds required at 10 percent.

Repayment payments are made directly to the Bank of North Dakota or participating lending institutions at the conclusion of each 12-month service period.

Payments terminate upon the earlier of full loan repayment or completion of five years in the program, with prorated payments available for early resignation, medical disability, death, or military service calls.

Matching fund requirements are waived if the health care professional opens a new solo practice in a city with fewer than 15,000 residents.
