Department director may authorize outside program participation for offenders with ten years or less remaining on sentence and committed to ten years or less of custody.

Parole board, with director approval, may authorize outside program participation for offenders with more than ten years remaining on sentence and committed to legal and physical custody for more than ten years.

Parole board members are compensated at the same rate paid to legislative assembly members for interim committee attendance, plus mileage and state employee expenses.

Changed compensation from a fixed rate of seventy-five dollars per day to matching legislative interim committee compensation rates.
