Amends North Dakota Century Code section 12.1-17-01 to add assault on health care facility employees as a class C felony offense.

Creates new subsection (5) making assault on an individual employed or contracted by a hospital, clinic, or long-term care facility a class C felony when the assault occurs on facility property and the actor knows the victim's employment status.

Maintains existing class C felony provisions for assault on peace officers, correctional institution employees, state hospital employees, individuals in judicial proceedings, and emergency personnel.

Classifies all other simple assault offenses as a class B misdemeanor.

Requires the actor to have knowledge that the victim is a health care facility employee for the enhanced felony classification to apply.
