• Virtual instruction under this bill may not extend beyond the current school year.

• School districts operating a physical plant that choose to provide virtual instruction must adopt a local policy.

• Military-connected students, students with medical conditions, and out-of-state moving students engaging in virtual instruction are exempt from compulsory school attendance requirements if allowed by the gaining or losing educational entity.

• Military-connected students in virtual instruction qualify for average daily membership funding in the school district, and school board decisions on virtual instruction may be appealed to district court.
