Public and nonpublic school teachers, administrators, and counselors must annually complete an online interactive training module on mandated reporting of child abuse and neglect provided by the Department of Health and Human Services and submit documentation to the Department of Public Instruction.

Early childhood services providers and their staff members must annually complete and document completion of the same online interactive training module for mandated reporters of suspected child abuse and neglect.

Training completion must qualify for continuing education credits that count toward professional license renewal for both school personnel and early childhood services providers.

Department-approved child care training hours completed by applicants after submitting their application and fees count toward licensing annual requirements for the following year.
