Amends section 12.1-17-13 of the North Dakota Century Code to change "mandated treatment" to "mandated intervention program" for domestic violence offenders.

Expands the definition of "intimate partner" to include spouses, former spouses, current dating partners, recent former dating partners, and individuals with whom the offender has a child in common.

Requires sentences for domestic violence offenses against an intimate partner to include an order to complete a domestic violence offender assessment and intervention program as determined by the court.

Prohibits courts from ordering anger management classes or individual counseling unless a domestic violence intervention program is not reasonably available and the court documents findings on the record explaining why such a program would be inappropriate.

Allows courts to find the intervention program requirement satisfied or order alternative appropriate programming if the offender is assessed as inappropriate for the program by the program provider.
