Superintendent of public instruction shall establish a dyslexia voucher program to fund general educational needs for individuals ages 5-18 identified as having dyslexia

Program may fund assistive technology, audiobooks, computer reading support, language-generating devices, parent training and educational materials, language comprehension equipment, and private tutors trained in dyslexia interventions

Program must be payor of last resort after other third-party payors, and school districts must permit private tutors to provide services on school premises

Superintendent shall adopt rules to administer the program and establish eligibility requirements and exclusions, with biennial reports due to legislative management by September 1 of each even-numbered year

Appropriates $300,000 from general fund to department of public instruction for the biennium July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025, with up to 5 percent available for administrative costs
