Multicandidate political committees must file expenditure reports with the North Dakota Secretary of State for each aggregated expenditure of $5,000 or more spent in support of or opposition to legislative candidates or members of the legislative assembly.

Reports must include the committee name and address, expenditure recipient, whether spending supports or opposes a candidate and the candidate's name, expenditure amount, cumulative year-to-date total, expenditure category breakdown, and advertising channel (radio, mail, television, printed media, or social media).

Reports must be filed within 48 hours after the multicandidate political committee makes an expenditure that reaches or exceeds the $5,000 threshold when aggregated with other expenditures for the same candidate or member.
