Amends North Dakota Century Code Section 30.1-11-01 to modify procedures for depositing wills with a recorder for safekeeping.

Allows recorders to deliver a deposited will to the appropriate court upon written request from an interested person as defined in Section 30.1-01-06.

Requires written requests to include the complete address of the appropriate court along with a copy of the death certificate or obituary.

Mandates hand delivery of the will if the appropriate court is in the same county, or delivery by certified mail with return receipt if the court is in another county.

Passed the Senate 47-0 and the House 92-2 during the 2023 regular session.
